Surrounded by lagoons and marine life, Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa is located in Thilamaafushi, a natural island surrounded by blue lagoons. The resort features 141 villas situated amidst a tropical landscape with scenic views of the Indian Ocean.
There are six restaurants and bars at the resort. Tabemasu is one of the restaurants that provide a teppanyaki counter along with omakase menus. From global cuisines to local dishes, Turquoise offers a beachside marketplace with a variety of food options to choose from. Riviera, an adults-only bar, is a beachside playground with an oceanfront infinity pool and private beach.
Families can take advantage of the Le Méridien Family and Kids' Hub, with programming that ranges from day and night nature trails, folklore storytelling and art classes. The Greenhouse also offers immersive family experiences including micro-green planting and family foraging and cooking classes.
Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa has a private island and a marine conservation hub with green and hawksbill turtles among other marine lives. The resort can also arrange nature trail walks, cooking classes, folklore storytelling and art classes.

Beautiful resort with exceptional staff
We arrived and we were met by the Le meridian team at the seaplane terminal who were extremely helpful in getting us to the seaplane lounge which was well equipped and comfortable. The seaplane transfer was smooth. We arrived to a welcome and a welcome drink and the check-in was easy. The staff were extremely helpful and kind throughout going above and beyond to create a wonderful and peaceful stay. The activities are expensive, however, the house reef is exceptional. Snorkeling equipment is free. There are three restaurants on site which offer variety of options. Vegetarian options are limited though the chefs were very amenable to suggestions. The rooms were elegantly designed and comfortable. The bath was exquisite. If like us you are not heavy eaters, our suggestion would be to go Bed and breakfast because the breakfast is exceptional and filling and dinner can be had for cheaper than the halfboard price. We were at the resort for our honeymoon and they provided us with wonderful hospitality to make it a memorable experience. One of the majors of drivers of us booking this resort was it had good environmental standards of which we saw. Water is desalinated on site. There is no plastic within the rooms, there was a greenhouse on site and it seems that the resort actively respects the environment around it.
Our seaplane departure transfers at 6:00 a.m. we were told that we would get a continental breakfast and unfortunately we only received some croissants and a coffee which did not meet our expectation of a $40 breakfast. There is some litter in the sea and on the beach which is no fault of the resort, but it's something they need to consider in the future. It would be fantastic if the resort could move towards being a completely plastic-free environment.

Best vacation ever, helped me celebrate my 30th birthday and went all out for me
Beautiful island, very luxurious, many activities and attractions, everyone was so nice to us both staff and other guests, the food was fantastic, the breakfast was exceptional with so many options to choose from And getting picked up from the airport and taken care of completely was a big plus into making everything stress free :)
